Summary/Abstract: Our research aims to consider the medium of television in the territory of art music. First, we turn to the existence of an authentic television language and the potential this medium has in the context of art placement. Then, we address the notions of television music, aesthetic and technical questions, and modalities of art music on television. The importance of ‘the verbal’ in the context of television effects is emphasised, since speech can always be used in order to bring music closer to the viewers/listeners. Finally, we also focus on programs that, in our opinion, significantly affirm art music.
