Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes five performatist movies: Good Will Hunting, A Beautiful Mind, Imitation Game, and The Man Who Knew Infinity. By analyzing the theme of genius, many other elements also analyzed constitute their common poetics that Eshelman named performatism. Therefore, the poetics find concrete examples from movies that reinforce the argument for the success of this poetics.
