Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with innovating activities in Slovakia and in Norway. The bases for working out of the area of innovations in enterprises in Norway have been official statistics of Statistics Norway. Data on innovations for Slovakia are provided by SLOVSTAT database. This paper is partial result of international project NIL-II-013-d “Development of Cooperation in the Scope of Research of Innovation Processes Impact on Regional Development in the Slovak Republic and Norway”. This project is supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. This project is also co-financed from the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
