SOME RELATIONS BETWEEN THE REGIONAL SOCIO-ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATIONS AND THE CHANGES OF THE SECONDARY-SCHOOL SYSTEM IN THE SOUTHERN GREAT HUNGARIAN PLAI

Summary/Abstract: Despite transformations and positive tendencies in the regional socio-economic life, radical quality changes did not happen in the secondary school system. The existing modernising efforts experienced in the secondary educational system are insufficient and they cannot dynamise the development of the region. The lack of an innovational – modernisational centre in the area is felt. Changes taking place in public education may contribute as integral parts to the establishment of human conditions to the development; however, they “in themselves” can only create values difficult to utilise.
