Summary/Abstract: Virgil Oniţiu`s life, the schools he graduated, his work, the articles and books he published, his activities give us a picture of a life dedicate to the others. Born in Reghin, he studied in Sibiu, Vienna and Budapest. He was the director of the Romanian School in Brasov (1894- 1915). He had interests in the field of literature, literary history, folklore and journalism. He wrote over twenty sketches and short stories, published in several magazines and newspapers, and then collected in volumes. The list of his published articles and books helps us get an idea about his work and personality.
