Summary/Abstract: The World War at the beginning of the 19th century was dealt with in many projects by the „Europeana” Foundation, resulting in the digitization and posting on its website of a huge amount of information related to the war, consisting of photos, letters, postcards, war diaries, memoirs and so on. Such is the case of Dumitru Nistor, who was a sailor in the Austro-Hungarian Navy and whose memoirs recently became to be known as a result of being publised. His writing raised interest because of the beauty of his style as well as due to the valuable and interesting historical information it provides. The „Octavian Goga” County Library is lucky to be the owner these memoirs, which were bought in 1994 and consist of three manuscript notebooks.
