Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to reveal a book of small dimensions that can be found today at „Astra” Library from Sibiu. It has been first writen in French, in 1856, in the context of the Peace Conference from Paris, by Gheorghe Bibescu, the former ruler of Wallachia, who signed it with the pseudonym Sanejouand; one year later, it has been translated into Romanian and published by using the Cyrillic alphabet. The book has not been known so far and its importance consists on revealing Gheorghe Bibescu’s attitude towards unity, so as his knowledge on Romanian history, as we may conclude by considering the historical, political and legal arguments he has brought out.
