Summary/Abstract: As a result of the popular uprisings and protests that started in North Africa in 2010 and then spread to the Middle East and turned into a violent civil war in Syria in March 2011 and known as the Arab Spring, millions of people died, especially in Syria, and millions of others. immigrated to countries. One of the neighbouring countries that migration of Syrian refugees Turkey. One of the provinces where almost every region in Turkey's continued placement of the Syrian refugees are living in Malatya. In this study, the geographical distribution of Syrian refugees in Malatya province and their socio-economic, cultural and spatial effects were investigated. In this research, the perspectives of the local people of Malatya and Syrian refugees towards each other were researched and the research was focused on this issue. The scope of the study is the neighbourhoods in which the refugees mostly live in the Yesilyurt and Battalgazi municipalities of Malatya province. As a result of this research, it was determined that Syrian refugees caused a decrease in employment, an increase in house rents, a decrease in workers' wages in Malatya province and also caused some changes in the socio-economic, cultural and spatial characteristics of the city.
