Summary/Abstract: Some of the most essential aspects of the disciplinologic conceptions of the leading representatives of the Bulgarian anthropogeography from the first half of the twentieth century – Anastas Ishirkov, Ivan Batakliev and Guncho Gunchev – are referred to in the research. The main focus is placed onto the idea of discipline interaction of geography and ethnology backed with arguments by the Bulgarian anthropo-geographers, based on the conception for the leading role of the geographic factor in the formation, movement and distribution of human communities over the earth surface. Attention was paid to the typology of the disciplinologic conceptions for the place of anthropogeography in the system of sciences. Conclusions were drawn from the scientific expert point of view on the level of maturity of the discipline self-consciousness of the scientific community, dedicated to regional and settlement in juxtaposition with the relevant achievements of the Bulgarian ethnological (people’s scientific) tradition of that time.
