Among the Children Included in the Neogea Programme: Ecology-Conformed Education and Folklore

Summary/Abstract: In the summer of 1999 the author of this paper was invited by Adelina Angusheva-Tihanova to work with children from the Central Kindergarten 40 in Sofi a – in the framework of the project NEOGEA. The goal of the author’s work was to teach children Bulgarian folklore. In cooperation with the Director of the Kindergarten, Kseniya Semizorova, weekly teaching was organized for children from 4 to 6 years old. This was done according to a well developed theoretical model and thematic plan which took into account what these children were taught the previous years. In this paper, the author discusses some accents of her work in 1999/2000 with the children.
