Super Libros from Teleki Collection

Summary/Abstract: Super libros, as a sign of property, is considered to be an important document, both from artistical, but also from historical point of view. It is printed on book’ s bindings and „tells” us about the age of the book, about its circulation, about its owner’ s social condition etc. There are about 160 such „owners” - both private persons and communities - that can be found in Teleki-Bolyai collection, and some of them are using more than one mark of property. Thus, there are over one thousand books that wear this sign of property. Among the most famous owners, we may mention Franz Adam Kollar, librarian at Royal Library from Vienna; the Austrian chancellor, prince Wencel Anton Kaunitz-Rietberg; József Inczédy, the writer etc. The paper deals with the presentation of those super libros, from different points of view: artistical value, historical and bibliophile importance, heraldry aspects etc.
