Summary/Abstract: Several arbitral institutions of international prestige have established a presence at the regional, national or local level, in certain states considered key to the provision of institutionalized arbitral services. In Romania, the increase in interest in institutionalized arbitration has led to a competitive diversification of the offer of institutionalized arbitral services, not only of domestic arbitral institutions but especially of foreign arbitral institutions with international recognition to open local presences with the involvement of arbitration professionals under Romanian law. The article aims to analyze the advantages that these national or local regional presences of foreign arbitral institutions create in the domestic arbitral landscape, for the development of arbitration and for the litigants and the promotion of arbitraton in the național or local jurisdiction.
