Summary/Abstract: PIE *h1oʔ-s- (= *h1oh1-s-) ‘mouth’ is derived from PIE *h1ed- ‘to eat’, as an s-stem o-grade postverbal, assuming that *dC yields *ʔC (= *h1C), which is a well-known phenomenon of the Glottalic Theory.
