Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt at presenting Mary’s relationship to the Word of God within the context of two verses from Luke’s Infancy Narrative that directly refer to this topic. The analyses undertaken here concern the literary characteristics of the Greek text and the Polish translation of Luke 2 : 19, 51b, as well as an exegetical explanation in reference to the section Luke 1–2 and the entirety of Luke’s two volume work (Luke–Acts). In light of this research, it can be said that both texts are similar, although they simultaneously have unique traits. Mary’s attitude towards the Word of God is a constant activity, which distinguishes her from other figures in Luke’s narrative.
