Summary/Abstract: Libraries provide unhindered access to essential documentary information resources and, with their core competencies, play an important educational role, thus ensuring user training. Libraries are able to help users to understand the way collections are organized, how informational items are structured, including their form of presentation, how can they be accessed, evaluated and used. This paper addresses the educational role of libraries, library-user relationship, as well as the library catalogs, in terms of valuable informational tools.
