Summary/Abstract: Globalization is a process affecting every sphere of social life as well as personal life. Particular evolution can be observed in the area of work and education, which have gone through many changes under the influence of globalization factors. Education is the branch that, to a great extent, shows the image and functioning of other branches of social life. The education process in the age of globalization is significantly different from the education system that has been operating so far. In the era of globalization, education becomes a lifelong process, using the latest technical and technological achievements in its message. Thanks to this, the education market, and thus the labor market, may become the fastest growing markets in the near future. Globalization processes require the preparation of a new, different citizen who will be able to adapt to social, cultural and economic changes. We do not live in a vacuum, modern education is required to prepare a person who will be a citizen of the world, not just Europe. Globalization forces people not only to develop and expand their competences, but also to make them more flexible, resistant to change and living in uncertainty.
