Lamentative narration and self-presentation in oral-historical conversations with freelance musicians during a coronavirus pandemic

Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the effects of the coronavirus SARS‑CoV-2 pandemic on the professional and personal lives of freelance musicians. During oral‑historical research following the previous project (diploma thesis), I focused mainly on the ways in which these impacts are reflected by the actors of historically informed performance of early music. Emotionally tense representations of complex professional and personal situations related to anti‑coronavirus measures often take on a lamentation character, in which narrators emphasize their role as victims.The text also contains the view of the interviewer – an insider on the specifics of conducting oral‑historical interviews during the pandemic.
