Typologies of Evaluation Research Design Regarding the Effectiveness of Foster Family Care

Summary/Abstract: This study try to homogenize the heterogeneous field of outcomes based evaluation research of foster family care services and practice in international and national context, searching for common characteristics in different countries and for typologies. In order to meet the aims of the article the analysis is focused on evaluation research designs, presenting the methodological, practical and ethical issues of relevant studies regarding foster family care effectiveness. Finally, the study suggests some recommendations for future research in order to improve the effectiveness of foster care services and their clients’ quality of life.
