Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses and presents the status of public sculptures and fountains in Sarajevo Canton, with the aim of creating an overview of the situation today in relation to the pre-war period (1992- 1995), the ratio and representation of domestic and foreign authors, pointing out the importance and the need to preserve, valorise and adequately popularise interesting and valuable works of art, as well as those that have spontaneously and indiscriminately become part of public spaces. The paper presents data on a large number of sculptures and authors, until now little or not known at all to the public, collected and successively processed, which I consider a particularly important contribution as a basis for future studies of sculptures in BiH, bearing in mind that, compared to the art of painting and applied art, it is completely unexplored and unjustly marginalised, and that to date in BiH this topic has not been addressed in a dignified manner as it has been done in neighbouring countries.
