COLOR, PATTERN AND COMPOSITION FEATURES OF SIVAS-DELICE CARPET WEAVING

Summary/Abstract: Weavings, one of the cornerstones of Turkish cultural values. Today, art of weaving is dying. Sivas is one of the first centers that come to mind when Anatolian weaving tradition is mentioned. In this study, the weaving samples found in the village of Delice in İmranlı - Sivas district were examined. It is aimed to contribute to the literature by examining the color, motif and composition features of the fabrics in the village. The drawings of the carpets also were recorded.
