Summary/Abstract: It is important and necessary for children to be exposed to different forms of art at every stage of their education starting with the preschool period. One place where children can be exposed to different forms of art is within children’s literature. Through their plots, children’s literature brings children together with a variety of art forms through visuals and texts, helps them understand the importance and necessity of these arts, and as a result, contributes to their holistic art education. Children’s books have been the subject of several studies especially in terms of content and design features as well as a variety of other aspects; yet no study has been found that reveals the function of how such products bring children into contact with different forms of art. Thus, the aim of this current study was to determine whether there are expressions of art within children’s books that bring children into contact with as well as make them fully understand the importance of different forms of art. This study was carried out utilizing a single case nested pattern of explanatory case study design as one of the qualitative research method. The data source (study object) of the study is 20 fictional children's books taken from the best-selling children's book lists of the "Idefix Online Bookstore" and "D&R Bookstore" between 2017-2020. The data were collected through document analysis and analyzed through content analysis method. “Fine arts” has been taken as the analysis category. This main category, in accordance with the modern classification, is divided to seven sub-categories like; "surface arts", "volume arts", "place arts", "language arts", "sound arts", "action arts" and "dramatic arts". It was shown in this study that the best-selling children’s books reflected the possibilities of different art forms within a literary form, and that they have the quality to raise awareness of these forms of art among children. In the books, there are mostly expressions on language arts, sound arts, dramatic arts, surface arts and action arts.
