Summary/Abstract: In a relatively slow but constant evolution, the case law of the Constitutional Council of France has admitted, by a decision of January 31st, 2020, the nature of constitutional valuable objectives both for environmental and human health protection, in balance with the freedom of enterprise. The new case law consolidates the relation between environment and public health, favors the emergence of concepts bordering the both fields, and bears an important meaning in comparative law.
