Summary/Abstract: The article contains a summary of the main problems encountered during distance education. The main challenges faced by teachers in special education, but also by their families are presented. The shift of special education to the online environment due to the covid-19 pandemic has led to the use of different methods and resources. One of the ways in which the adaptation to new methods and resources has been made is presented at the end of the article through a comparative analysis. It presents the traditional way of conducting a therapy session with children with mild mental disabilities and how it was conducted online.
