THE CONCERNS OF THE GETAE FROM THE SETTLEMENTS OF THE 3RD -1ST CENTURIES BC OF ROȘIORI-DULCEȘTI (THE POINT ȚARINA VECHE)

Summary/Abstract: The multi-layered site from Roșiori, Dulcești commune, Neamț county also includes two levels of habitation from the 3rd-1st centuries BC. In the archeological complexes (dwellings and pits) and in the layer were discovered objects from different raw materials, which reflect the ancient occupations of the members of the Getae communities. Several objects (a sickle, two iron hoes, grinders and stone hammers) argue two of the oldest occupations, agriculture and gardening. Another intensely practiced concern was shepherd, and animal bones indicated the growth of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and horses. Hunting was practiced in the background, such as housework, spinning, weaving and sewing. Although the number of archaeological complexes is not large, the pieces discovered indicate a high level of everyday concerns.
