Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to determine the extent to which teacher's feedback as a form of formative assessment occurred in primary school education during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and what is its content. The research group consisted of 296 parents and 309 children. Data collection was carried out using the questionnaire method during the first wave of coronavirus pandemic in Slovakia. Research results suggest that in both the first and second stage of primary school, the formative assessment was a prevailing form of assessment. Information on mastering the curriculum was contained in the assessment most frequently, while suggestions on how to improve learning performance were included least frequently. The majority of children were able to understand the teacher's assessment most of the time, with the second grade pupils understanding it more frequently. When comparing reports obtained from parents and children, a significant difference was found in the frequency of occurrence of some elements in the assessment – information on mastering the curriculum and effort of the child were reported as more frequent by parents, while teachers' suggestions on what and how to improve were more frequently observed by children. A difference was also found between the first and second stage of primary school. Feedback on mastery of the curriculum, the child's progress, the child's effort and behaviour were provided more frequently in the first stage of primary school.
