Summary/Abstract: According to the data of the World Health Organization, noncommunicable diseases constitute a significant part of deaths. In general, individuals are more prone to unhealthy lifestyles, leading to an increase in global metabolic syndrome. The reduction of these deaths depends on individual awareness and the improvement of health literacy. The study's primary purpose, which was implemented by face-to-face interviews with 400 people residing in Düzce, is to determine the relationship between health literacy level and healthy lifestyle behaviour in terms of effective health services management. In the literature, many studies have been done separately on health literacy and healthy lifestyle behaviour. However, the number of studies in which both scales were used together is very few. Most of the studies have been done in the forms such as single variable (e.g. gender), single profession (e.g. student). Therefore, it can be said that the study has a very original structure in this respect. According to the analysis results, it was determined that health literacy affects a healthy lifestyle high in some dimensions and moderately in others. While the average value of healthy lifestyle behaviour is high, the health literacy level was found to be moderate. It was determined that there is a relationship between health literacy and healthy lifestyle behaviour, and the relationship is positive and linear. The path analysis determined that health literacy has a statistically significant and positive effect on healthy lifestyle behaviour (β = 0.804; p <0.05).
