Summary/Abstract: In the archives of the Franciscan monastery in Fojnica, we found a document 135 years old, which faithfully depicts today’s situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The document deals with the issue of building a railway to Fojnica, which would open up better life opportunities for Fojnica residents. When the prospects for this realization began to wane, Fr. Blaž Kulier, already dying, wrote to the master, whom he considered influential, to stand up for this cause and give hope again. The same, old questions are opened again even after more than a century. What is the period of a hundred years in the history of our tormented and wounded Bosnia? Nothing! According to some unwritten rule, every generation in Bosnia and Herzegovina must deal with a several of these old / new questions. We are not only hooked by those that have been forgotten and about which no written traces have been preserved. We are still spinning in the same circle today, with no way out and with no hope for a better tomorrow. And the young generations do not just emigrate, but run away from this environment, without intending to return.
