Summary/Abstract: theatersSummaryThe aim of the article is a sociological analysis of the social world of theater, aimed at answering the question about the role of family, friends and social capital in this universe. The family is a rudimentary value for actors, fulfills a therapeutic and supporting role. On the other hand, due to its specificity, the profession of theater artist is not conducive to family happiness and stability of the nuclear family. Friends are of great impor-tance for the mental well-being of the actors - the basis of the relationship is a moral bond and a commitment to mutual help. Author in the text also pay attention to the relevant role of personal and collective social capital - a network of interpersonal relations facilitates functioning in the profes-sion and achieving goals important for the theater environment.
