Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of a study of social perceptions of domestic violence among respondents who are married. The sample is represented by 157 married couples with various marital experience, in the age range from 18 to 61 and older. In the process presented in the article, it was established that the structure of the social concept of domestic violence has a powerful core, represented by the presented characteristics, its own phenomenon. But not in the core, not in the periphery, there are no characteristics indicating the unacceptability of the phenomenon. This confirms the fact of the stability of social representations and the complexity of influencing them.
