Summary/Abstract: The goal of the article is to emphasize the importance of case conceptualization in cognitive-behavioral therapy. It describes the algorithm of case conceptualization and steps to follow in completing a case conceptualization diagram for a particular mental disorder. A case of generalized anxiety disorder was used to illustrate the process of cognitive conceptualization. Identification data related to the clinical case described in the article were substantially changed in order to observe the ethical requirements.
