Summary/Abstract: This research is aimed at studying similarities and differences in the emotional experience of Serbian Orthodox and Muslim students. We started from the assumption thatstudents, depending on their religion, will be different in stating antecedents of the feeling of guilt and its duration, as well as in the evaluation of characteristics and consequences of the cause of the feeling of guilt. The examinees are students of the Universityof Niš (100) and the students of the University of Novi Pazar (100). We used the questionnaire that was created for the study of emotional experience (Scherer, Wallbott & Summerfield, 1986). The results showed that, on the one hand, the stated emotional experiences are very similar in certain aspects (occurrences that cause the feeling of guilt), while,on the other hand, the evaluations of characteristics and consequences of the occurrences, as well as the estimations of the duration of the feeling of guilt were the source of certain risks.
