Summary/Abstract: Olivier Peyroux’s study represents a gradual analysis ranging from group migrations to indirect exploration of Romanian emigrants (a group which is socially vulnerable). The study has proved a correlation between the analyzed terrain and the scientific materials and information from media. The approach to the matter is thorough, thus the whole Romanian Diaspora was analyzed. It can be stated that the exploration of the minorities, which can often be serious, is not a dominant phenomenon. This exploration is not a part of the identity, rather it is a periphery phenomenon which is dictated by the difficult socio-economic situation of a country after the fall of the communist regime. This kind of exploration is a result of the continuous frustrations from the communist period and the loss of social and moral values which are characterized by reduced interest in education and the desire to get rich as fast as possible and at any cost. The origins of these phenomenons have common characteristics; one of t he most important belongs to an old nonsense of exporting labor.
