Summary/Abstract: The paper contains results from text critical analysis of Stoslovec (Centuria de fide), ascribed to Gennadius of Constantinople (c. 400–471) and associated to it short florilegia with the names of Evagrius Ponticus (346–399) and Thalassius the Libyan (6th c. – c. 648/660) in MS 88 (Obolensky collection, RGADA, Resavian orthography, 16th c.), owned by Metropolitan Michael of Koluša (17th c. – 1666/1669). The transmission was traced in a group of manuscripts from Hilandar monastery, Serbian by orgin (28, 15th c. Austrian National Library, Vienna; Voskr. 115-bum, between 1340–1380, State Historical Museum, Moscow) and others, Russian by origin (i.e. 704, 15th century, Trinity Lavra of St Sergius, Russian State Library, Moscow; 2860 (101), 16th c., Solovetskoe sobranie, Russian National Library, St. Petersburg, etc.). It supposed that MS 88 is connected with the circle to which Constantine of Kostenets belonged, because it contained other works of the same author. In conclusion this collection preserved the tradition of Athonite ascetic miscellanies which, in turn, had their hypothetical archetype from the Tărnovo Literary School. The overall content of No. 88 supports the view that, albeit from a distance of several decades from the source, the miscellany is evidence of a sustainable tradition in Balkan literatures, as well as of the connections between Southern and Eastern Slavs.
