Summary/Abstract: The 4th Border Guard Battalion „Akadânlar” was actually an infantry unit, even though the name was border guards. The main purpose of its establishment was a political and military one and not the continuation of some traditions. He worked in the garrisons of Calarasi, Balcic, Medgidia and Ploiesti. It was composed of macedonian-romanian settlers, who, following the treaty of Craiova of September 7, 1940, were deconcentrated, so the unit was left without basic staff. Having the status of a guard unit, the only specific mission with the state was to ensure the guarding of the Balcic Castle.
