Summary/Abstract: Polyamide and polyamide-based composite materials play an important role in bearing applications with their low cost, easy manufacturability, good appearance, good strength and wear resistance. Both high mechanical values and high wear resistance properties are expected from these polymeric materials, which are frequently used in bearing applications in recent years. In this study, 20% and 30% by weight glass fiber reinforced polyamide-6 composites were first produced in granular form in a twin screw extruder. Then mechanical and tribological test samples were produced on the injection machine. In the experiments, mechanical tests such as tensile, impact, hardness and pin-disc wear tests were carried out. The tensile strength, tensile modulus, hardness and wear resistance increased with the increase of glass fiber ratio in the PA-6 matrix. Different sliding speed and applied loads were used in tribological experiments. The wear volume increased while the friction coefficient decreased with the increase in load and speed.
