Summary/Abstract: The Population Bureau was founded in Iasi on April 15, 1921, according to the provisions of the Regulation for the implementation of Chapter III of the Law on the control of foreigners, the control of some of the public establishments and for the establishment of a population office. Until January 1, 1922, the Central Bureau operated under the direction of police officers. At the end of 1934, the head of the Iasi Population Bureau transmitted to the Police Headquarters., according to Order no. 32715/1934 of the Iasi Regional Police Inspectorate, an analysis regarding the organization and functioning of the population's office, the difficulties encountered, but also some measures that could bring improvements to the way of organizing and carrying out the activities
