Europe - fall and rise

Summary/Abstract: World War I marked the beginning of the end of European hegemony. After World War II, the Americans offered European countries a recovery plan. The project, popular as the Marshall Plan, provides assistance to all European countries affected by the conflict. Although indirectly, Europeans are driven by integration. They must unite and, using American resources, take a step not only towards prosperity but also towards peace among themselves.
