Application of the case study method in the analysis of formation of tourist product based on the example of the Wooden Architecture Route

Summary/Abstract: In economics and management, the case study has been a recognised teaching method for over a century. For several decades, a significant increase in interest in this method in science as a method of qualitative research has also been observed. The aim of this article is to present the case study method as a research method and an example of its application to tourism in relation to the analysis of the process of forming the tourist product, which is the Wooden Architecture Route. Tourism as a field of academic research, but also as a field of economy, is characterised by particularly high interdisciplinarity, complexity and uniqueness. Therefore, the use of the case study seems to be particularly desirable here.
