A Madách-kultusz kezdetei Erdélyben (1874–1918)
The study – based on buried resources – plans to follow up the first era of the after-life of Madách in Transylvania, the cult of Madách by the end of the nineteenth, and by the beginning of the twentieth century. The first part tries to present the theatrical performances of Madách’s works (mainly The Tragedy of Man), especially the mise-en-scenes by Gyula Ecsedi Kovács and Jenő Janovics. Then it tries to draw attention on two rarely mentioned literary analysis. (Győző Morvay: Explanatory study for The Tragedy of Man, Nagybánya, 1897; Goethes Wirkung in der Weltliteratur. Goethe, Byron und Madách. by Von Dr. Ábel Barabás, Leipzig Reudnitz, 1903.)
