This paper aims at investigating the feasibility of adopting a secure e-voting based on the authenticity of biometrics in conducting the election of Jordan parliamentarians consol. It firstly investigates the Jordanian citizens’ acceptance level of an e-voting system based on biometric credentials as a supportive solution to their attitude, intention, and trust in actual participation. The successor phases are directed to validate the feasibility of adopting a biometric-based e-voting system by involving the Delphi method of three rounds for collecting and analysing data. The initial use case diagram, interview questions, and resultant queries are all mapped to construct the proposed conceptual framework. The results of multi phases methodology allow for development and recommend a conceptual framework for implementing an e-voting system with all acting schemas that represent the different stages of the election process. Moreover, the proposed conceptual framework was developed with thematic regulations that align with the experts' consensuses and the current Jordan parliament election law.

In the digital age, databases are becoming a much more valuable recource for historians. From the abstract perspective, as an archive of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Lithuanian Metrica has signs indicating that it is a massive database. Appropriate methods are needed to command such a large amount of information. A prosopography questionnaire lets us pick up data points from the Lithuanian Metrica, which is very useful for researching groups of persons from the governing body of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. For example, with the help of a prosopographical questionnaire, we can extract specific data – personal, biographical, political career, social, economical – regarding officers who served under the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the sixteenth century. LM’s judicial documents, privileges, and testaments are a great source of data for onomastics and reconstructions of marital statuses and social networks. Testaments also accurately indicate dates of death as well as the economical capital of the deceased. Military lists also give us a massive amount of information regarding the economical and political influence of a person. Unfortunately, the amount of type of sources are inconsistent, and a lot of persons from the researched group have “blind spots” on their prosopographical questionnaires. This reason can be partially resolved, as different types of sources in the LM can provide similar data, and thus make the prosopographical method a very useful tool for working with the LM.

Pixel art is a type of art created by aesthetic combinations of images on computer or mobile devices, pixels that are thumbnail particles and represented by a certain color or value. Today, pixelization seems to have a widespread use, from street art to video game graphics, from various icon and background designs to retro characters in the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) data unit. The aim of this research article is to examine the development of pixel art as a stylistic idea from the early digital age to the present, to examine its ironic effect in the digital art world and to discuss the reasons why it is indispensable in every period. Theoretical approach in research; qualitative approach was adopted in data analysis. As a method, document analysis technique was used in the research. In this context, the changes that took place in the art of pixelization in the period from the first years of the digital age to the present are structured in chronological order, and the usage areas of the art of pixelization and the developments in these areas are also examined. Data were collected through research on the history and evolution of pixelation, as well as interviews with designers who use pixelization in their work. The findings shed light on the reasons for the development/use of pixelization art as a stylistic idea. It has also shown that pixelation is used for a variety of reasons, including creating a specific aesthetic, referencing the early days of digital graphics, and hiding sensitive information. As a result, the art of pixelation continues to be used and developed as an indispensable part of the digital age.

The underlying goal of the present study is to investigate the experience gained by the Jagiellonian Library staff in the implementation process of the new open knowledge policy at the Jagiellonian University. The discussed tasks and decisions pertaining to the process focus on both the historical aspects of the implementation of the policy and the relevant activities that are either being carried out now or became effective following the introduction of relevant legal acts and a series of legal instruments pertaining to the comprehensive realisation of the project. Applicable methods of literature analysis and review were used to collect data, just as a case study, which altogether allowed the concerns of open access to knowledge to be properly distinguished and discussed in detail from the perspective of its implementation at the Jagiellonian University. Our experience thus far indicates that the main issues in the implementation of open knowledge at the University include insubstantial awareness among staff, as well as insufficient funding. The main advantages of open knowledge, however, include: limitless access to literature and a better promulgation of research results, scholarly output and publications.

Internet infrastructures, together with all the specific applications, provide support for activities in all areas of social life. In practice, there is no longer a field of society that has not, to a greater or lesser extent, assimilated information and communication technologies in its activities. Society, through all its components, glides towards the digital environment and, thus, we find known domains redefined by the digital environment: e-Governance, e-Administration, e-Inclusion, e-Learning, eScience, e-Culture, e-Health, e-Business, e-Market, e-Media, e-Entertainment, etc. Professions in the field of Administrative Affairs, since they interact with all areas and social categories, undergo a spectacular transformation into some of the most complex professions. Therefore, these professions have a great deal of discretion in terms of specific attributions and, implicitly, require some of the most diverse specific skills. Digital competences are considered to be cross-cutting skills required to define these professions as well as specific professional training. In our study, we propose ourselves to present the specificity of the professions in the field of Administrative Sciences, the necessary competences for the exercise of the activities by developing the necessary digital competences and their reflection in the university curriculum of the Managerial and Administrative Assistance.

There are few electronic databases for Lithuanian. The largest are the Frequency Dictionary of Modern Written Lithuanian, compiled by V. Zilinskiené and L. Grumadiené, and the Lithuanian Language Corpus of Kaunas University. The former is presented in detail here: the principles of its compilation and its possible uses are discussed, and the hitherto published work in statistical linguistics based on it is briefly characterised. The main problems in connection with the databases for modern Lithuanian are: (1) their insufficient differentiation (they reflect only the written, not the spoken language), (2) their not being optimally used, as the Lithuanian scholarly community lacks the Preparation needed for working with such tools, and (3) the fact that the efforts of scholars compiling them receive too little public recognition and are not valued as original scholarly achievements.
