To celebrate 100 years of existence of the Polish Statistical Association, in April took place in Poznan the Congress of Polish Statistics. The study honors authors of the organization that had a strong influence on the shape of modern statistics in Poland. The presented reports also included detailed information about the course of these discussions. It also provides a resolution of Congress, which defines activity purposes of Polish statisticians (researchers and practitioners) in the XXI century.

Utrudnienia czy sytuacje nieplanowane, które mogą wystąpić podczas realizowanego badania, mogą także oddziaływać w mniejszym lub większym stopniu na wnioski poznawcze albo prowadzić do rewizji wstępnych założeń lub uznanych procedur.

The article is a record of a seminar meeting devoted to the memory of professor Zbigniew Osiński, an outstanding theatrologist, first director of the Grotowski Institute in Wrocław, a scholar interested in the works of Juliusz Osterwa, Jerzy Grotowski, Gardzienice Theater and Tadeusz and Irena Byrski’s theatre; researcher of the Oriental theatre reception in Poland. The seminar was organized to commemorate the first death anniversary of the Professor whose scientific path began to take shape in Poznań where he worked until 1970. The record of the meeting reflects its course: in the first part, three short speeches were given: – Professor Dobrochna Ratajczakowa talks about the beginnings of Zbigniew Osiński’s career as a researcher, Professor Elżbieta Kalemba-Kasprzak – about the ‘practice of humanities’ in a specific Poznań way, and professor Ryszard K. Przybylski – about the famous article that used information theory tools written by Balcerzan and Osiński. The second part is devoted to the memories of and reflections on the artistic and scientific activity of Professor Osiński in Poznań. Among the guests of the seminar were Professor Edward Balcerzan, Lech Raczak, Piotr Frydryszek, Janina Karasińska – friends and co-workers of Professor Osiński.

An International Scientific Conference entitled ‘Security and Regulation on the Energy Market’ was held on the 23rd and 24th of May 2019 at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź (hereinafter; WPiA UŁ). The main organizers of the Conference were the Department of European Economic Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Łódź and the Scientific Society of Energy Law and Other Infrastructure Sectors of the University of Łódź (hereinafter; NKPEiISI). The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the President of the Energy Regulatory Office and the Polish Committee of the World Energy Council.

This article describes the all-Russian scientific conference “International Intervention and Civil War in Russia and the Russian North: key problems, historical memory, and lessons of history”, held in Arkhangelsk, September 10–11, 2020. Co-organizers of the conference were the Russian Military-Historical Society and its Arkhangelsk branch, the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region, the M. V. Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University , and the Association of the Russian Civil War Scholars. Conference sponsors were the Russian Military- Historical Society and the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region. Established and younger scholars from 14 regions of Russia, as well as from Ukraine and Norway, took part in the conference and its proceedings. Conference participators considered the key problems of genesis, origins, and causes for the Russian Civil War, its modern conceptualization, the role of international intervention in Russia and the Russian North, results, consequences, and historical lessons of this war. Special attention was given to preparing of Volume XII (in two books), Civil War in Russia, 1917–1922, of the 20-volume academic series History of Russia and problems of historical and cultural memory of the Russian Civil War. Four sections and three roundtables considered questions of the dialectical relationship of international intervention and Civil War in Russia and the Russian North; of international, national, regional, and local dimensions of the Civil War; and of the individual at war. Conference participators pointed out the necessity of responsible, competent, and objective historical studies of the Russian Civil War, an attitude of care towards existing monuments and memorials, and strict examination and scientific expertise of new memorial projects devoted to this war.

Wydarzenie zostało zorganizowane dzięki środkom przyznanym w ramach IX Otwartego Konkursu pod auspicjami Centrum Polsko-Rosyjskiego Dialogu i Porozumienia.

Tegoroczne spotkanie przebiegało pod hasłem: Nauczanie religii w Europie w okresie Covid-19. Konferencja ta zgromadziła duchownych z wielu krajów Europy, ale też świeckich, którzy zajmują się nauczaniem religii.
