The study offers a segment of the research project about the media language applicability to communicate religious messages. It focuses on a content analysis of the media manipulation with the topic of the conscientious objection. It uses a method of tracing frames and common ideas (topoi). The author defined key messages and common ideas used by secular and religion processing of the same topics and tried to formulate some suggestions for effective media communication of religious attitude towards the conscientious objection.

2010 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of The Evangelic Messenger from under the Tatras, a traditional Protestant periodical. Writing about the beginnings of the publication, the author of the text focused mainly on the inter-war period. The years 1918 - 1938 were central to the development of the periodical in the context of a democratic atmosphere and the free development of the Evangelical Church in Slovakia. In this period, The Evangelic Messenger from under the Tatras became a periodical with nationwide reach. It gave attention to church and religious issues and responded to critical social and political issues at home and abroad.
