Chrześcijańscy kapelani w więzieniach II Rzeczypospolitej w świetle dokumentów archiwalnych (na przykładzie więzienia w Równem)

Author(s): Oleh Razyhrayev / Language(s): Polish Issue: 8/2020

The article is devoted to the legal foundations of pastoral work of chaplains in the Second Polish Republic on the example of the prison in Rowne (Równe). Namely, in the text is published contract of employment that was concluded in the second half of the 1930s between the prison head and chaplains: Roman Catholic – canon priest Ludwik Syrewicz and Orthodox – father mitrat Michał Jakowlew (Mychajło Jakowlew). Both pastors were employees and worked on the basis of separate contracts that actually did not differ much (except for the amount of salary). It was established that, in accordance with published contracts, chaplains were required to perform services in prison, deliver the sermon on Sundays and holidays, visit prisoners in cells, teach religious education in prison school, etc. All this undoubtedly had a positive educational, spiritual and cultural and educational impact on prisoners.

Sobór Watykański II na łamach Głosu Koszalińskiego

Sobór Watykański II na łamach Głosu Koszalińskiego

Author(s): Gerard Wiśniewski / Language(s): Polish Issue: 8/2020

How great the event was the Second Vatican Council is evidenced by the fact that social media: television, radio and press from almost all over the world wrote and reported on the course of the council sessions. Not only plenary sessions were shown and described, but also the statements of the Council Fathers in the lobby. The public was kept informed about the work and progress of individual committees. The article shows how the course of the Second Vatican Council was perceived by the Koszalin press, based on publications published in Głos Koszaliński in 1962–1966 (in Koszalin there was only one newspaper at that time Głos Koszaliński, a body of the Polish United Workers’ Party).

Początki i fundacja Klasztoru pw. Maryi Matki Pojednania Mniszek Bosych Zakonu Najświętszej Maryi Panny z Góry Karmel w Bornem Sulinowie

Author(s): Beata Klimaszewska / Language(s): Polish Issue: 8/2020

From the third century, the Hermit movement developed in the Church, which gave rise to the monastic state, and flourished at the end of the 11th century and embraced the 12th centu¬ry. The history of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel begins in the 12th century in Palestine. The Second Carmelite Order, which is its female branch, was founded by Pope Nicholas V bullum Cum nulla fidelium of October 7, 1452. In 1605 a decision was made to establish a monastery of Bare Carmelites in Poland. At the end of the same year, the first monks (Italians and Spaniards) came to Krakow (Kraków). Bare Carmelites came to Poland in 1612 on the initiative of religious confreres The article describes the beginnings and foundation of the Monastery of Mary Mother of Reconciliation of the Blessed Nuns of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Mount Carmel in Borne Sulinowo. The construction works lasted for several years, the nuns had to deal with many difficulties and inconveniences in order to finalize their intentions. Carmelite nuns support the Koszalin-Kolobrzeg (Kołobrzeg) Diocese with prayer and work. Another form of ministry is to create and open a space of prayer for everyone seeking renewal or deepening contact with God.

Język liturgiczny Ordynariatów Personalnych dla byłych anglikanów. Zarys ogólny

Język liturgiczny Ordynariatów Personalnych dla byłych anglikanów. Zarys ogólny

Author(s): Wiktor Pskit / Language(s): Polish Issue: 6/2020

The paper presents some basic features of the language of Divine Worship: The Missal (2015), the liturgical book of the recently established Ordinariates for former Anglicans. It discusses the historical sources of the text of the Ordinariate missal. The linguistic characteristics of Divine Worship is shown on the basis of a comparison with corresponding texts in the current English translation of the Roman Missal. The comparison makes it possible to demonstrate that the language of the Ordinariate liturgy is a highly hieratic (sacral) variety of English in the sense of Mohrmann (1959, 1968), Crystal (1964, 1990) and the Vatican instruction Liturgiam authenticam (2001). The relevant hieratic style is a direct contribution of the Anglican Patrimony to the contemporary Roman liturgy.

Przemiany nabożeństwa drogi krzyżowej w XX wieku w świetle teorii aktów mowy (wybrane aspekty)

Przemiany nabożeństwa drogi krzyżowej w XX wieku w świetle teorii aktów mowy (wybrane aspekty)

Author(s): Agnieszka Sieradzka-Mruk / Language(s): Polish Issue: 6/2020

The paper describes changes which occurred in service of Stations of the Cross during the last century. The analysis is based on Searle’s classification of illocutionary acts and Bühler-Jakobson’s theory of speech functions. Illocutionary force is considered as one of the specific features of a speech genre (so called pragmatic aspect). Material of the study includes 100 Polish texts of Stations of the Cross service published during the first half of the 20th century and 100 contemporary texts of the devotional practice (after the II Vatican Council). The frequency of appearance and significance of different speech acts have changed in the analyzed period. It may be noted, inter alia, reduction of the role of expressive acts, and at the same time increase of the role of directive acts. Clearly less attention is paid to declarational act of gaining of the indulgences. However, basic set of speech acts in the devotion hasn’t changed and in this sense we can speak of stability of devotion of Stations of the Cross.

Importanța cunoașterii ethosului rom în activitatea pastorală.

Author(s): Marius Căldăraru / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 7-9/2019

This study discusses Gypsy vows. The research aims to find a possible source of these ritual events, phenomenon which, if it is analized without tanking into consideration that they preserve traditions inherited from generation to generation, is considered outdated. Therefore, it is necessary to know the Gypsy ethos in the pastoral activity. First, the article examine all types of vows they use and which are their meanings. Then, it is argued that there is an indispensable bond between vow and curse. Finally, a possible source of these vows is disclosed. The main methods used are: observation, discussions with Gypsies from Sintesti village and from other Gypsy communities, transcription and analyzing several documents written between 1638-1808.

LA CULTURA AGRO-PASTORALE NELLA PARLATA ARBËRESHE DI PIANA DEGLI ALBANESI

Author(s): Vito Matranga / Language(s): Italian Issue: 01/2016

Author(s): Adam Pastorczyk / Language(s): Italian Issue: 2/2020

Although more than half a century has passed since the adoption of the dogmatic constitution on the Church at the Second Vatican Council, a discussion continues in the Catholic Church and in ecumenical discussions about the correct interpretation of the conciliar expression „Ecclesia in et ex Ecclesiis”. The subject of this article, therefore, is an analysis of the conciliar and post-conciliar teaching of the Catholic Church and the ongoing theological discussion on the mutual relationship of the universal Church and the local Church.

Kielich i patena Konrada Mazowieckiego z XIII wieku – kopia dla Archidiecezji Szczecińsko-Kamieńskiej

Kielich i patena Konrada Mazowieckiego z XIII wieku – kopia dla Archidiecezji Szczecińsko-Kamieńskiej

Author(s): Andrzej Krzystek / Language(s): Polish Issue: 27/2020

A copy of the goblet and paten of Konrad Mazowiecki, made on the basis of the original from the mid-thirteenth century, was made as part of the research work of the Department of Practical Theology at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Szczecin in cooperation with the “ArtSacr” studio of Jerzy Stachurski Master of Artistic Craft. The chalice and paten offered to the Płock cathedral are an act of reparation of the Mazovian prince Konrad for the murder of priest Jan Czapla, canon of the Plock (Płock) cathedral chapter, Plock (Płock) and Wloclawek (Włocławek) scholastics, made in Plock (Płock) in 1239. The Konrad Chalice is one of the most outstanding works of art from the Middle Ages in Poland. The original made in silver with elements of gilding is in the cathedral treasury of the Diocesan Museum in Plock (Płock). A copy of the goblet and patens was made of bronze, by casting with engraving and carving, silver plated on the outside, and the center of the cup of the gilded plate. From the workshop and iconographic side, it is a work of the highest class. Particularly noteworthy is the iconography, which presents mature theological thought. The Plock (Płock) chalice was made in the Romanesque style (13th century), but you can see the beginnings of a new Gothic style. This is evidenced by the shape of the goblet and the cup nodus. The article discusses the origin of the cup and patens, as well as their description, iconography and theology. Making a copy of the cup and paten for the Archdiocese of Szczecin and Kamien (Kamień) is a contribution to the promotion of Polish culture and national heritage and is a reminder of the historical ties connecting Szczecin and Western Pomerania with Poland in the 12th and 13th centuries.
