This article analyses the development of “knowledge management” as a term and a phenomenon in the world and Lithuania. There were examined papers in the issues of scientific Lithuanian journals, and the results were compared with an analogous research that has been made in the UK, analysing journals reviewed in the scientific database ISI. The comparative analysis established the same tendencies of both researches.
