Irregular. Transylvanian Journal for Research in Visual Arts
Irregular. Transylvanian Journal for Research in Visual Arts is the follower of the Irregular F journal. Initiated in 2007, Irregular F journal was oriented towards philosophical, human and social sciences research, as well as towards literature. Set off in 2016 under the patronage of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, the new series of the journal is dedicated to the research of the visual arts field.
The major goal of Irregular. Transylvanian Journal for Research in Visual Arts is to map, present and analyse the contemporary artistic practices and production seen through the lens of the artistic research concept. A special attention is paid to the Cluj artistic phenomenon in its relationship to the local, regional and international art worlds. Another goal is to contribute to the theoretical and applied research of the visual arts understood as a nexus of cultural, social, political and institutional elements.
