Scientific periodical “Proceedings of Petrozavodsk State University” resumed its issues in 2008 and since then has been faithful in adhering to traditions of the journal that was issued in the period of 1947 - 1975. The circulation frequency of the series “Social Sciences & Humanities” is four times a year. The purpose of the series is to promulgate unique research results, to publish scientific reviews reflecting results of the research and scientific work in the following fields: philology, history, philosophy, legal sciences, political sciences, cultural studies, economy and pedagogics. Apart from the articles and reviews, the journal column “Scientific Information” contains announcements and materials pertaining to the seminars and passed scientific conferences, announcements on the newly issued monographs and study guides. The columns “Discussions”, “Jubilations”, and “Memory” provide room for featured articles and materials.

In print since 1990 the Journal "The Problems of Historical Poetics" aims at publishing new researches in the area of comparative historical studies of poetics. The Journal offers new interpretations of the works of Russian and World literature based on original ideas and concepts. The web site of the Journal http://poetica.pro contains information about the edition (history, theme, requirements for manuscripts and reviews), about the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board (Academic degree and title, contact information), and the archive of the Journal for the last 25 years.

The Unknown Dostoevsky

The international research journal "The Unknown Dostoevsky" is intended for discovery of new prospects in studying of the biography and works of the ingenious Russian writer, to ensuring access of readers and researchers from the different countries to unpublished archival materials and little-known sources of creativity of Dostoyevsky. The magazine is founded on the initiative of board members of the International Dostoyevsky Society. Readers are offered  unique archival materials, correspondence and Dostoyevsky's manuscripts and his environments, the new facts and hypotheses, biographic and textual researches forgotten and unknown memories of the writer, critiques from newspapers and magazines of XIXth – the first half of the 20th centuries. The magazine is issued in the Russian and English languages quarterly, 4 times a year.
