Studia Universitatis Petru Maior Series Historia was edited by the History and International Relations Department of the Faculty of Sciences and Letters from “Petru Maior” University from Tîrgu Mureş. It was a scientific journal acknowledged by the National Research Council and indexed in several international databases. The journal has published studies, articles and reviews with a scientific value in the historical field. It started its editorial activity in 2001 and was published on a yearly basis. The journal has been ceased as of 2020. The successor publication has been launched in 2020 under the title Acta Marisiensis. Seria Historia, ISSN 2668-9545 and pulished by Editura University Press, Universitatea de Medicina, Farmacie, Stiinte si Tehnologie “George Emil Palade” din Targu Mures, Romania.
