Acta Historica Tallinnensia is an annual Scientific publication of the Institute of History (Tallinn) and the Estonian Academy of Sciences. Main languages of publishing are English and Estonian but articles in German are also accepted; all papers in Estonian have an extended summary in English and papers in foreign languages have summaries in Estonian. The journal has an international editorial board (scholars from Estonia, Sweden and Lithuania). All articles are prereviewed. The journal is open to authors from Estonia and from abroad providing the contributions which meet the requirements of scientific papers. Articles dealing with history of Estonia and neighbouring areas around the Baltic Sea and in North-Eastern Europe from the middle ages up to nowadays are preferred. We also publish interdisciplinary papers, articles on philosophy of history and art history. Acta is also open for review articles and debates.

Estonian Journal of Archaeology (published from 1997 to 2003 as the Journal of Estonian Archaeology) is the official publication of the Institute of History (Tallinn), the University of Tartu and the Estonian Academy of Sciences.The journal is published twice in year: in June and December. Main languages of publishing are English and Estonian; all papers in Estonian have an extended summary in English and vice versa. The journal has an international editorial board. All articles are peer-reviewed and the majority of issues also contain reviews or discussions on archaeological literature. The journal is open to authors from Estonia and from abroad providing the contributions which meet the requirements of scientific papers. Articles dealing with archaeological materials of Estonia and neighbouring areas around the Baltic Sea and in North-Eastern Europe are preferred. A Journal of the Humanities and Social Sciences founded in 1997, formerly as Acta et Commentationes Universitatis Tartuensis (Dorpatensis) B (established 1893) and Proceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences Humanities and Social Sciences (establisehd 1952). 1. TRAMES is the only fully-refereed, internationally abstracted, English-language scholarly journal in the Humanities and Social Sciences in Estonia. It is open to authors from any country or any scientific school. 2. TRAMES publishes papers from a wide range of the humanities and social sciences with preference to papers with broader theoretical attitude and a possible interdisciplinary approach. Besides this, TRAMES will be open to guest editors for theme issues which concentrate on particular topics or schools of scientific thought. 3. TRAMES is strictly refereed. The only criteria for acceptance of papers will be the originality of ideas, weight of arguments and clarity of presentation. The main principle of the editorial policy will be open-mindedness and tolerance for the heterogeneity of ideas. 4. The journal will be published four times a year (spring, summer, fall, winter), each issue comprising of about 100 pages.
