Journal of Economics brings out articles, discussion contributions analytical studies from the field of economic theory, economic policy, theory and results of socio-economic forecasting, of monetary theory and policy,corporate managment, banking, mathematical modelling, cross-sectoral and industrial economies as well as of regional and social development. It deals with the issues of world economy and the process of globalization, the history of economic thoughts and national economy. It brings profiles of influential Slovak and foreign economists, reviews of theoretical studies and reports from scientific life. Journal of Economics is documented in the Current Contents/Social and Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences Citation Index and also in the electronical version of index EconLit. Journal of Economics was founded in 1953 and appeared as a bimonthly until 2002. Since 2003 ten issues are published every year.
