ARCHÆVS. Studies in the History of Religions

Frequency: 1 issues / Country: Romania

Archaeus was founded in 1997, being the first Romanian journal for the history of religion after the collapse of Communism in 1989. Issued under the academic umbrella of the Centre for the History of Religions (Bucharest), each volume of Archaeus is the result of collaboration between scholars of religion across the world. The editors are strongly committed to welcoming manuscripts submitted by young Romanian scholars interested in the historical, hermeneutical and theological aspects of religion. Being a forum of international debate, Archaeus is issued in five major languages (English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish), including only occasional brief notes or book reviews in Romanian. Archaeus welcomes contributions reflecting the many theoretical stages of the study of religion, provided that they pass the test of scholarly excellence. The editors encourage in particular a comparative and interdisciplinary approach in the history of religions.
